The Mans Pasts system is a self-service website, where any individual or company may use services of VAS “Latvijas Pasts”:
- to prepare postal items for sending;
- to print electronically prepared necessary accompanying documents;
- to save entered information in the system for preparation of next items for sending.
- Lower sending tariff for traceable, registered and insured postal items prepared in the Mans Pasts system.
- The system generates accompanying documents for postal items including those necessary for printing out. Manual filling of forms is not required.
- If you have registered in the system, when preparing postal items, the history of postal items and addressees will be saved, and you will be able to use them for preparation of new postal items.
You need a computer with internet connection and Adobe Reader software (https://get.adobe.com/reader/) and a printer. White paper of A4 format is necessary to print out forms, and sticker paper is necessary to print out addresses and barcodes.
No, you can prepare postal items without authorisation. The system will prepare necessary documents, which you can print out. It should be taken into account that postal item data of unauthorised user will not be saved in the system – next time you will have to enter them again.
- Select the function "Register".
- Fill your contact information. It will be saved in the system and, each time you prepare postal items, you will no longer have to enter your contact information.
- Receive a confirmation link to your e-mail, activate it and become a user of Mans Pasts.
Make sure that you have correctly entered:
- phone and contract number;
- password – capital or small letters, no space at the beginning of the password, etc.

- Select what you want to send – “Postal item type”.
- How to send – “Postal item subtype”.
- Go to the next step and fill data about yourself if you have not entered them by registering.
- Fill information about recipients.
If you are a registered user, information about recipients will be saved in your postal item history, as well as the contact will be added to the address book. You will not need to enter it again if you want to send something repeatedly. - You can select additional services, which are offered for the specific sub-type of postal items, for example, fragile postal item.
- The next final step is the final one – printing out of supporting documents and adding to the postal item.
- Select the size of sticker paper, which you will use, and print out addresses of the sender and the recipient.
- If there are forms intended for the postal items, the “Print forms” window will appear. Select the print format and print on white paper. The necessary number of forms will be printed.
- Stick addresses to your postal item, add forms and take them to any post office or give them to a postal worker, if you use the Office Pickup service.
Information about the content of the postal item should be indicated for all cross-border postal items, which addressed to the countries outside the European Union to simplify customs clearance processes in the destination country.

If you have concluded a contract with Latvijas Pasts on postal services by selecting the place of transfer – in a post office or in your place (Office Pickup service).
- If you have not concluded any contract, you will pay at the time of transfer of postal items in the post office.
- If you have a concluded contract, you will pay after you receive an invoice.
Costs of postal items depend on the type of the postal items, the place of delivery, weight, as well as additional services.

All postal items are saved in the system archive, and they can be viewed by clicking on “My postal items”.
A barcode and number is assigned to traceable, registered and insured postal items.
If you enter the postal item number in the search field "Track your shipment", you can view the status of the postal item (where the postal item is at that particular moment).
- The address book is available to any registered user of Mans Pasts. When preparing a postal item, recipient’s data are saved in the address book automatically, and you will not have to enter them again.
- If you have an Excel file with addresses of recipients, you can import this list in the Mans Pasts system. Select “Import addresses” in the section “My addresses”. There you can find the upload field and a sample with instructions on the information to be included in the file.
- If you have regular postal items to specific recipients, you can break them down into groups and then select by group names.
- If you have an Excel file with prepared lists of postal items, which includes information about received postal items and content (cross-border postal items), you can import this list in the Mans Pasts system.
- Separate lists should be created for each type of postal items – letter correspondence with documents / letter correspondents with objects / packages.
- Go to “My postal items” and select "Import postal items". There you can find the upload field and a sample with instructions on the information to be included in the file.
If you have regular or large-sized postal items, it is better to conclude a contract on the use of the Mans Pasts system.
You can apply for a contract in the Mans Pasts system as an individual and as a company.
Go to “Apply for a contract”, a link to the sample of the contract and the form for application to a contract will open. After you enter information, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail that your information has been received. We will check the submitted information and prepare a contract. If you do not indicate that you will use an electronic signature, we will send you the contract by post.
- You will receive an invoice for sent postal items once a month, and you can pay it in using your preferred method of payment.
- You can hand over postal items without leaving your office if you apply for the Office Pickup service. Anyone who has a concluded a contract on postal services can apply for this service in the Mans Pasts system. No additional fee is applied for this service.
- You can also apply for other postal services.
A company can add several users, however each of them needs own authorisation. Namely, each employee registers with his/her own username and password, marks that they are a contract customer, and fills company information, including specifies the contract number of the company.
